World of Color OlorsTarpon Springs, FL (PR) November 21, 2013 — The first two books in the ‘Color Olors’ children’s book series are now available through major online retailers.  “Red Ed and The True Meaning of Christmas” and “Pink Ink’s Purpose” are the works of first-time author Nina Carothers and accomplished children’s book artist Chris Padovano.

Pink Ink’s Purpose is the first in the series of 14 books by Nina Carothers, a stay-at-home mother from Tarpon Springs, FL.  Her Color Olors series was recently picked up by publishing house All Star Press, which is also based out of the beautiful Gulf coast community of Tarpon Springs.

“Although we lived only about a mile apart, Nina and I did not know each other,” explained Richard Nilsen, President of All Star Press. “This summer Nina submitted her work to me and I was blown away by the art work, the concept, and the educational theme found in each book in the series.”

In another local twist, the Color Olors books are illustrated by Chris Padovano of nearby New Port Richey, FL.  Padovano is the illustrator of more than 60 children’s books.

“Your child will be captivated by the characters and storylines in the Color Olors books,” explained All Star Press President Richard Nilsen.  “Meanwhile, they will learn important life lessons.  In the Red Ed book, for example, children learn what the true meaning of Christmas is all about.”

The ‘Color Olors’ books are ideal for children ages 3 through 7.

The third book in the series, “The Wonderful World of Color Olors” is due out by the end of November, 2013.  This book takes a look at each of the 13 characters in the color-based theme.

“Angel Gabriel – A True Story” Translated into Portuguese

IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Tarpon Springs, FL, October 31, 2013 — Angel Gabriel, the true story in the aftermath of Comair crash 3272, was penned by Michigan resident Joy LaPlante and released in e-book format earlier this summer.  The amazing story, which recounts LaPlante’s experiences following that aviation crash, has now been translated into Portuguese.

LaPlante was approached by a reader of her book who was so taken by the story that she offered to translate the work into her native language.

Angel Gabriel, a true story by author Joy LaPlante“I sent an email to Joy saying that I was willing to translate her story into the Portuguese language free of charge,” explained translator Isabel L. Soares.  “I did this because I knew in my heart that she was genuine, that she was not doing this for the money and because her main reason to write this story was to bring hope, joy and peace to people’s hearts.”

“I do not follow any religion, but so what?” continued Soares. “I believe there is only one God, the God that was willing to once again answer my prayers and to help me bring healing to all those whose life I touch daily.”

The true story of Angel Gabriel (or Anjo Gabriel in Portuguese) begins on January 9, 1997.  LaPlante’s book tells about the events following the only major, commercial airline crash in the United States in 1997. Originally written and self-published in 1999 by author Joy LaPlante, “Angel Gabriel – A True Story” was picked up by publishing house All Star Press, updated, and re-released in all e-book formats.

“When I wrote the book, I just sat down and wrote it,” explained Joy.  “I just told the story of my experience with the Angel Gabriel.  I never thought in a million years I would write a book and become a published author.  It is just something that happened.  I am just a simple woman who told my story, in my own words, to help spread the message.”

The Portuguese edition of “Angel Gabriel – A True Story” is titled “Anjo Gabriel – Uma Historia Real” and is available only through the Kindle store from leading retailer Amazon.com. The book includes the English version as a bonus and is offered at the introductory price of only $3.47.

Sleep Great for Life: Two Steps to a Better Night’s Sleep

Do you sleep well?by Richard Nilsen, author of “Sleep Great for Life”

There are two easy steps for helping many people obtain a better night’s sleep.  Here are two methods that I found to be extremely effective when I started to overcome my sleep disorder.

1) USE TECHNOLOGY TO YOUR ADVANTAGE

Don’t want to miss that favorite television show that starts at 10:00 p.m.?  Well, that is what DVRs and VCRs are for. DVRs are wonderful in that you can set up a regular, scheduled taping every time your favorite show airs. You can also easily record the remainder of a show if you find yourself getting sleepy. If you don’t have a DVR, then get one. Most cable and satellite providers will give you the box for free, and the monthly charge is typically around $7.

Use modern technology to your advantage. Your sleep is too important.

2) WRITE DOWN YOUR PROBLEMS

I am a firm believer that by putting your thoughts to paper, it helps release them from your mind.  It allows you to wake up the next day and, at that time, begin to address the issue(s). Another benefit of doing this is that you will not lose that great idea that you just had while lying in bed!

Make sure you do not go to bed with your mind racing or with problems still pending.  Put them “to bed” for the night, and then you will be able to put yourself to bed – peacefully.

Note:

“Sleep Great for Life” offers an easy-to-apply procedure can help you overcome insomnia in less than 3 weeks. The book is available in both Print and e-book formats.

“My Wild Ride” Now Available in Paperback

FREE Shipping/Handling offer direct from the publisher, All Star Press.

Limited time offer.

My Wild Ride by author Susan Bump“My Wild Ride: The Untamed Life of a Girl with No Self-esteem” was released this summer by publishing house All Star Press.  Within three days, the life story of Susan Bump hit the #2 spot within the horse section of the Amazon Kindle store behind the mega-best seller Seabiscuit. The popular book has now been released in paperback form for the first time.

The life story of Susan Bump, although sad at times, is ultimately a story of triumph. The child of two alcoholics, she overcame her tragic family upbringing to pursue her dream of training Thoroughbred racehorses. She rode for some of the best stables in the country and eventually became a trainer at major tracks including Del Mar racecourse.

“Susan and I worked together for many years and I never knew her fascinating story until I read the initial copy of her book,” explained Jude Feld, broadcaster for Horse Racing Radio Network and former Southern California trainer. “She is a magnificent person and knowing the backstory of her life makes you wonder how she could overcome everything she went through.”

“‘My Wild Ride’ is a must read for those who are warmed by feel-good animal stories, who are curious about life at the track, who are challenged by a past that holds them back from experiencing their own self-worth! I laughed, I cried, and found a new respect for the life I live having seen life through the author’s eyes,” stated reader Debbie Joswick.

“This story is absolutely riveting,” explained Debra Lyn Daly. “Anyone struggling to overcome the scars of growing up in a dysfunctional family will be deeply inspired by Susan’s story. I couldn’t put it down!”

There are no dull moments in Susan’s story. The ‘untamed life of a girl with no self-esteem’ offers lots of tears, but lots of laughs, too. Order today, direct from the publisher, for only $17.97 plus free domestic shipping and handling.
